“A Nation and GOD”

 What happens when a people forget God? God has told us, and I am paraphrasing, “Your enemies shall defeat you at every turn.” The Bible has told us what happens to a people that forget God. It also tells us what happens to those who serve God, “Your enemies shall flee from you and you shall prosper.” Again, I paraphrase. Just look at America today. Look at what is happening to our country. We do NOT prosper; we are in the largest amount of debt EVER!!!! No other country or people have been in this much debt. We are also having more and more difficulty in the military.

   The United States of America has been the defender of peace and liberty for so long. We fought Fascism and Communism to their destructions, but look at what has happened. In the 1960’s, America, as a country began to lose all faith in God, we became drug addicts, allowed the banishment of God in schools and embraced sins like homosexuality. While this was happening, we were at war in Vietnam. We lost, we lost that war, but before in the 1940’s, we defeated Hitler and his radical group of believers in the “Pure Race,” the “naturally selected superiors!” In 1940 we as a country followed God.

   God acts in the world today. He works through his followers to better the world, but when a country turns away from him, he does as he has WARNED. We LOST Vietnam; we lost our standing as defenders of peace and liberty and became defenders of selfishness. We took Christianity out of our schools and our people and became a disgusting example of a once proud nation. We are in debt, drugs are rampant, sexually transmitted diseases, hate crimes and all of these things are a result of us turning away.

   They call the World War II generation the “Greatest Generation” because they were kind and caring. Yes, there was sin but it did not run the nation. Look around you. Look at these “Professional” politicians and these socialists, the Darwinists and the “Compromise Christians” who spread lies throughout the nation. America is sick.

   God said, in Leviticus 26:1-12, 1 “Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it, I am the LORD your God. 2 “Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the LORD. 3 “If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, 4 I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their fruit. 5 Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land. 6 “I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid. I will remove savage beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country. 7 You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. 8 Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you. 9 “I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. 10 You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new. 11 I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you. 12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.

   We Americans have idols in the government and idolize pop culture, we have an idol in evolution and we bow down to these idols. We have ignored God’s laws and now our “fruits” are small, we owe to other nations and other peoples; our armies are defeated and outmaneuvered by enemies of Freedom because we have fallen away, because we have replaced God and have hidden God. The sword has passed through our land, we were attacked at 9/11, and now the ENEMY walks through our government and whispers into its ear. We NEED to change our ways, we NEED to return to God, or we will fell the consequences for years to come.

Killing Freeedom

            Does abortion steal freedom? If so, then why is it legal? Many important documents, including the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights convey America’s freedom. Everyone is born free with rights, and they are only taken away when they interfere with others freedom. Many people contemplate the question, when does life start? A pro-life adherent once said, “The unborn is not a potential human, but a human with great potential” (Klusendorf 13). Women have rights to do what they want with their body, including abortion, but killing the unborn is stealing the freedom of an innocent child.

            There is much argument in the world today as to when life starts: at conception or first breath. The legal debate a few years ago, Roe vs. Wade, covered the two different sides: pro-life vs. pro-choice. In the end abortion was legalized. However, it has been scientifically proven that life starts at conception. By 21 days the brain is formed and the heart beating. At 42 days the brain is divided into three parts: emotion, seeing and hearing, and understanding language. Ninety-nine percent of the muscles are present by 44 days, and after eight weeks the fetus is the size of a thumb, with all organs present. The baby has the ability to feel and react to pain in four and a half months after conception. At nine and a half months the baby is born. Also, the definition of alive is not dead. The existence at conception is not just a clump of tissue, but a living human organism, constantly growing and maturing.

            Women have the right to pursue happiness, including what they want to do with their body, but not the right to ‘kill’ freedom. A woman can not be forced to bear an unwanted child, but the homeless are unwanted, can we kill them? The cost of a child may be too much for a mother, but human beings are expensive, why not just kill them? The life of the mom may be in danger; she might lose her life to bear a child. The child is a consequence of her decisions she made in the first place. What is more important to you, giving your life so another has a chance to live, or saving yourself? Tim Tebow is an example of a child whose mother was pressured to abort because her life was at risk, but resisted the temptation. Today Tebow is an amazing football star and athlete, and a strong, dedicated Christian. Without his mom’s love for a life, and his chance to live, he would not have been able to impact people as he has.

            An unborn child deserves the chance to be brought into this world and live life like everyone else. Like every other child of God, the unborn has certain rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Sound familiar? The rights the Preamble declares includes life! Therefore an unborn child not only deserves to live, but has the right to live. Killing takes away the freedom of life. Murder is murder, regardless of the consequences, and is morally, politically, and religiously wrong. A child can feel pain four and a half months after conception, therefore, “abortion not only kills unborn humans, it tortures them” (Klusendorf 14). We allow a woman to kill her baby, but will not allow her to abuse her child. Why legalize abortion and not child abuse? The cycle of life for a human is the same as everything else; starting out small and helpless, growing in knowledge and stature. A fetus is born into childhood, matures into a teen, advances to adulthood, and ages into a senior. The human starts out innocent and defenseless, and develops into a man or woman.

            A fetus is a human being, a person, and therefore deserves to have a chance at freedom. After being stuck in its mother’s womb for its whole life, abortion disables a child from seeing God’s amazing creation. Klusendorf once said, “Human life is a continuum beginning at conception and ending at natural death” (12). All men are created equal, so they should be treated that way. Look at our world today, and abortion, is it something our founding fathers would be proud of? Is it something we should be proud of? Our country was founded on freedom, and should stay that way.

I’s dotted, T’s crossed

These are the things we have lost

We used to be into this signed constitution

But now what are we in The Unkind Evolution!

All these signatures did mean a thing

But now they are like a big bee sting

In the great year of 1787

They signed the document almost inspired by heaven

Once the ink was dipped with the quill

The liberty for mankind was now fulfilled

The constitution was Signed!

Home of the brave Land of the free

Well, it used to be…

The constitution lit with flames

But nobody has any good claims

George Washington left in the dust

As the sour old government takes over (They think they must)

Out with the old

In with the new

1789 is now withdrew

Thinking about all these things

We realize our government would rather be Kings!
